Description: Edmunds.com is our favorite site for researching car & truck purchases. They have a ton of research, market values, buying tips & advice, and forums where you can talk online with other consumers about cars and car buying. You can get invoice pricing and MSRP on any new car, truck or SUV.

And their figures are dead-on right. Believe me, I checked. I pulled up invoice pricing on a 2005  Acura TL equipped with 6 speed transmission and the navigation system at Edmunds.com

Their numbers came back as follows:

• Dealer Invoice, $31,803.00

• MSRP, $34,900.00

Now, let me tell you, I've got a friend who works for an Acura dealership. I asked him to compare my numbers from  Edmunds.com to his actual dealer invoice from Acura. The numbers were EXACTLY correct!

Plus Edmunds.com will also give you their "True Market Value" for any car. This shows what other people are actually paying for similar cars. Armed with this information it is easy to negotiate a great price on your new car!

Be sure to try their Free Price Quote service. They'll get you multiple quotes from competing dealers in your area. This is a great negotiating tool because dealers are actually bidding for your business. You are in charge of the sales process.

Edmunds.com also gives you trade-in and retail value for your trade-in. Get the highest possible trade-in value for your old car by knowing what  it is worth.
